A natal chart represents the astrological configuration of the sky at the precise moment of your birth. This chart is the one from which all other types are derived, and its lessons unfold over the course of your entire lifetime.
transits & progressions
Your natal chart also develops through time. Astronomical events continue to happen as the planets in your natal chart have continued to move in their orbits. There are certain natural cycles and patterns to these movements that have meaning in relationship to the original configuration in your natal chart. A transits & progressions reading looks at the continuing development of themes in your life as represented in your natal chart and can be helpful to understand the pattern of events, both internal and sometimes external, that shape your life. This type of reading can be done more than once, as often as yearly, or at any interval that seems relevant to you.
relationship charts
Astrology can be used to illustrate the interrelationship between any two people: romantic partners, business partners, siblings, parent-child, friends. This technique can provide insight into compatibility, points of friction, and the essential nature of the connection between the two people. If you have chosen to be in a relationship, astrology cannot pass judgment on whether it is good or bad; your choice to be in a relationship takes precedence and deserves my respect and support. Relationship charting techniques can provide support by illustrating ways that you may keep your relationship healthy and vital. I use two techniques for a relationship reading: synastry, which is the comparison of two natal charts, and the composite chart, which represents the relationship itself. Relationship charts are always predicated on the natal charts of the two people in question, so it is important a natal chart much be drawn up before a relationship reading can be given. It is also essential that the reading be done with the permission of both people.
relocational charts
Astromapping techniques are relatively new, developed over the past 30-odd years. They allow for your natal chart to be compared to a map of the world, effectively recasting your chart as if you had been born in a different place. When you live in different places, or when you travel, you may be activating different parts of your chart. This technique gives you potentially useful information in considering a move or a trip. You can't change your chart by relocating, but you may invite certain types of experiences in one place that may be less likely in another.
